Dear Entrepreneur,

Most women think their Q4 plan needs more strategy, more marketing, more hustle.

But let’s flip that belief. What if the thing keeping you from the success you want isn’t a missing funnel or a broken system — it’s the fact that you’ve stopped having fun?

Lately, I’ve been talking to so many women entrepreneurs who are “doing all the right things”… yet they feel miserable. They tell me:

• “I no longer feel happy day to day.”
• “I have absolutely no fun in my life anymore.”
• “Everything feels like work, even the things that should bring me joy.”

This is what I call a fun recession — and it’s silently killing businesses.

Because here’s the truth: a business built without joy isn’t sustainable. Hustle might get you short-term revenue, but long-term growth requires energy, creativity, and fulfillment. And fun is what fuels those things.

When I first implemented my quarterly Planning for Profit system back in 2012, it wasn’t just about the financials — it was about designing a business that gave me back my life. That’s how I went from 80-hour weeks to 16, and how my office climbed into the Top 10% of franchises nationwide.

And today, it’s how my clients and I continue to scale. Because we don’t just plan for profit — we plan for fun.

For me, that looks like walks by the ocean and meditation in the mornings, blocking Fridays for slow weekends, and even staying up later (yes, 9:30pm feels rebellious when you’re used to crashing at 7:30!).

For my clients, it’s committing to 5 minutes of sunshine a day, buying Taylor Swift tickets, or exploring a new hobby.

Fun doesn’t have to cost a dime. But it does have to be prioritized. And in Q4, if it’s not in your calendar, it won’t happen.
