Why to Use Affirmations in Your Life!

The Power of Affirmations

Happy Monday Friends!

Do you pay attention to what you say to young children?

If the answer is yes, Why do you do this?

Most likely because you know their young brains are very open to everything they hear and we do not want to spoil them with bad words or feelings!

So if you we know how important it is to say the right thing around kids, why don't we continue that with ourselves as adults!

That's the topic of this week's Episode on The Sailynn Show! How to use the power of Affirmations in your life so you can make positive changes!

My goal is to bring you a weekly YouTube video with also a Free Resource you can use in your life right away! This week I am sharing my Gen X Survival Guide - A 10 Minute Morning Routine to Start Each Day Refreshed & Excited to Check Off Your To Do List, So You Can Achieve Work-Life Balance & Create a Life You Love!

Little did I know but as a kid, my mother ingrained in me positive affirmations all the time!  She probably did not even realize the power of what she was doing either and just hoped it would work!

As mom tells it...every night when she would tuck me into bed, she would tell me to be independent and never have to rely on anyone!

I can tell you, the repetition of that mantra, affirmation, pep talk (whatever you want to call it) is one of the main reason I am who I am today!

My goal has always been to be as independent as possible!  Most of the time it works in my favor (I may be a tad bit stubborn too ðŸ˜‚) because I am able to figure things out on my own!

So my 2 Simple Tips for you this week:

1. Add Affirmations to your morning routine! Look for 5-15 affirmations that speak to you and write them out in a notebook.  Then each morning read them OUT LOUD to yourself! PS  If you do not have a Morning Routine, grab the Gen X Survival Guide!

2. Redo your affirmations every 90 days!  When you get started, you may need to do this sooner if they do not get you excited!  For instance, maybe one is "I am so excited to eat healthy"...If you are not ready to commit to this change, you may not be feeling this one after awhile, so change it up so you get excited!

Hopefully these simple tips can help you too!
