Dear Entrepreneur,

There’s a belief many women entrepreneurs secretly carry:
“If a big opportunity comes your way, you have to say yes. Because what if you never get another shot?”

I get it.
We were raised in a culture that praises hustle, scarcity, and seizing the moment before someone else does.
So of course it feels terrifying to turn down visibility, money, or recognition — especially when it looks like the universe finally opened the door.

After returning home from filming 2 TV Shows in LA, two TV networks approached me with actual show offers.

The dream, right?

The vision I secretly think about?

The thing I’ve dreamt about since I was like 6?

And yet… I said no. Twice.

Not because the offers weren’t exciting.

Not because I didn’t want it.

But because the shows required a schedule that would bulldoze the life I’ve intentionally designed.

If you plant a seed in the wrong soil, it won’t grow — even if it’s the exact seed you prayed for.

Saying yes to misaligned opportunities is choosing soil that suffocates your own roots.

Oprah turned down roles, interviews, and deals that didn’t align with who she wanted to become — and those “no’s” shaped the empire she eventually built.

Alignment didn’t cost her opportunities… it multiplied them.

When you say yes from fear of missing out, you don’t just lose time — you lose yourself.
You end up building a business that looks good on the outside but drains you on the inside.
You resent your own goals.
You hit revenue milestones but feel disconnected from the life they were supposed to fund.

Here’s what I know after 18+ years in business:
Aligned no’s create space for the right yes.
Your personal vision is not a fluffy exercise — it’s the filter that protects you from building a business that burns you out instead of supports you.

When you honor your life, your business starts honoring you back.

So ask yourself honestly:
Will you keep saying yes to everything because you’re scared the universe won’t ask again?
Or will you start saying no from self-trust — and allow the right opportunities to find you?
