How to Find Balance in Your Life!

Hey!

Do you want it all?

I know I do!

So how do we make that happen?

There are so many people out there that say you cannot have it all, but I disagree!  I totally think you can have it all - be a mom, spouse, friend, sister, career woman, etc.

The key to balancing all those plates is to assess where you are and where you want to be on a weekly basis!  This allows you keep tabs on all areas of your life!

Now can we have it all at full force, with no help, and think we are the best at everything, so we have to do everything...in my opinion no!

See its totally okay to be the mom and career woman who has help in both places!  Totally okay to be the great spouse and also the best friend, but know you can't be there all the time!

Giving yourself a break and accepting that life is not perfect, will help you have it all!

In this episode of The Sailynn Show I am sharing with you Step #2 from The Overachiever's Guide to Attaining Work-Life Balance! There are 2 things I do on Sundays that have helped me find a better life balance. (If you missed #1, go back to last week's blog post - Work - Life Balance Hacks!

Today's Tip

Find a time in your schedule on a Sunday to spend 5 minutes or so evaluating the 7-10 areas of your life!

Grab the Free Resource above for the list of these areas to get started!

Once you have the list, sit down with a notebook, your morning routine journal, a pad of paper, basically anything...and truly think about on a scale of 1-10 where you are in each area!

The secret to this working and actually helping you...BE HONEST!

No one is going to see your list and your assessment, so don't think you will be judged!  Just think about each area, and then score it!

Now make another column and write down what you ideal number in each category should be (don't aim for a 10 across the board to start!  Small improvements make for huge changes!)

Then compare!

This is where the rubber meets the road!  Where are you struggling? Where do you need help? Where can you improve?

Being mindful about where you are and where you want to go, is what allows you to find balance!

You do not want to wake up one day and wonder what happened in work or life and realize, you missed all the warning signs!

TODAY is the best day to get started with this new exercise!  It has helped me have more time for family and friends in my personal life!
