Balance - a state in which different things occur in equal or proper amounts or have an equal or proper amount of importance!
The key words above are "proper amounts"
Balance does not have to be 50-50! That was an Aha moment for me!
As we go through our lives, there will be different seasons with different priorities and in order to enjoy the most important one, we need to know how to find balance and adjust!
The secret to finding balance is to do 2 things every single Sunday!
In this episode of The Sailynn Show I am sharing with you Step #1! Doing this simple step every single week for 5-7 minutes has improved my productivity, allowed me more time in my schedule for the things I love, and enabled me to travel the world!

Grab your calendar and write down every single appointment and/or task you have to do this week!
Then we are going to put them in 3 categories - Red, Yellow, Green!
Red - Items you MUST do at a certain day and time like work, sleep, pick up kids, doctor appointments etc.
Yellow - Items you have to get done this week but they can be moved around such as pick up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, clean the house etc.
Green - Items that need to be done, but not necessarily this week such as buy a birthday card and gift for a friend!
Decide are you going 100% electronic or paper calendar (both does not work because something always get double booked or missed)!
Then add each item in and color code them so as you go through your week you can move those Yellow and Green items as needed!
PRO TIP: If you have a family, gather them together and have everyone list their #1 item for the week and anything they may need help with! This eliminates the "I thought you were doing the..."
By doing this weekly exercise you are going to find more time in your schedule to focus on the fun things you enjoy, you are also going to have everything in your life in one place so you do not waste time replying back to people after checking your calendar, and you are going to have less mistakes because when everything is scheduled, everything gets done!
PS Don't forget to schedule all the fun things too! Those might be the most important!
TODAY is the best day to get started with this new exercise! It has helped me have more time for family and friends in my personal life!
